新加坡妙华艺术家协会承担重任主办亚太区书画交流大展，诚可喜可贺。来自北京、香港、澳门、马来西亚、韩国以及新加坡本土的书画家将参与其盛。
    众所周知，艺术是无国界的，也容易被不同国家人民所赏识。然而，由于不同国家或地域有不同的背景和风俗习惯，不同地区的艺术作品必然会反映该地的特征和风貌。
    主办艺术交流展，让不同国度的艺术品同堂展出，不但能收互相切磋和观摩之效，亦能增进不同地区艺术家的情谊，对个别书画家来说，也将能扩大视野和增进自己的艺术内涵。

The Singapore Miao Hua Chinese Art Society is to be congratulated for organizing the Asia Painters and Calligraphers Exchange Exhibition.Artworks from Beijing,Hong Kong ,Macau,Malaysia,Korea and Singapore will be showcased in this exhibition.we all know that art transcends boundaries and can be easily appreciated by people of different countries.However,because the backgrounds and customs of different countries are not the same,the artworks will invariably bear the traits and characteristics of that particular country.
In an exchange exhbtition,artworks of different countries will be displayed side by side,thus allowing artists from different countries to interact and compare notes.The net result will be,apart from fostering closer relationship among the artists,personal gain in terms of broadening the vision and enriching artistic inner self.
I warmly welcome artists from abroad and wish them a pleasant stay in Singapore.
